The Toronto Maple Leafs held their end of year pressers today and it's been a weird afternoon. Everybody repeated how disappointed they were but nobody had any type of solution and just sounded sad. Will there be big changes coming during offseason? You would think so, however it doesn't really sound like it as president Brendan Shanahan spoke to reporters. "I have complete faith in Kyle as a general manager, in Sheldon as a coach and complete confidence in what we're going to do here in Toronto."
"We understand why Toronto fans are frustrated. They're entitled to be, they should be. Our players really do want to perform for them, and for themselves."
"I sense that the players are extremely angry - angry with themselves, and we're angry with ourselves. These guys really want to win, they really want to become the team that they are capable of becoming. And they're not making excuses."
What do you think of Shanahan's comments?
