"The Toronto Maple Leafs play another set of a back to backs this weekend. Toronto will play in New York on Friday against the Rangers and then host the Red Wings on Saturday at Scotiabank Arena. Head coach Sheldon Keefe says he's already decided on his starting goalies and will send Frederik Andersen between the pipes in NYC tomorrow. Michael Hutchinson will finally get a chance to play, possibly his last chance, as he'll play against the Detroit Red Wings on Saturday. Hutchinson hasn't started since November 29 when he let in five goals on 35 shots against the Buffalo Sabres. On the season Hutchinson has a 0-5-1 record along with a 4.55 goals against average and .876 save percentage. This could be Hutchinson's last start as a Leaf if he doesn't look good on Saturday.
Sheldon Keefe confirmed Michael Hutchinson will start against Detroit on Saturday. So Frederik Andersen to go tomorrow in NYC. — Kristen Shilton (@kristen_shilton) December 19, 2019
