Tyson Barrie On Trade Block?
"Tonight the Toronto Maple Leafs will be taking on the Vegas Golden Knights and have lots to prove. Somebody who had lots to prove before the season started as he's looking for a new contract is defenseman Tyson Barrie. However things haven't gone as planned and Barrie now finds himself on the third defensive pairing.James Mirtle of The Athletic reports that Barrie isn't happy with his current role and his agents have spoken to the Leafs about it. Mirtle adds that before the season started, Barrie was looking to sign a long term deal worth over $45million, however he won't get anywhere near that number with the way his season is going and his current usage could cost him millions.
