Update Regarding Mitch Marner Situation.

"The drama in Toronto continues as the Maple Leafs try and work towards getting restricted free agent Mitch Marner signed. Of course it's not going to come easy as Marner's camp is playing hardball and doesn't really seem to want to talk unless it involves "Auston Matthews money". We heard yesterday that Marner is already holding discussions with multiple teams and could look at a couple of offer sheets. However needing to give up four first round picks could be costly for any team and Pierre LeBrun believes it's more likely we'll see a different scenario. While on the most recent edition of That's Hockey on TSN, LeBrun reported that teams are "investigating" the option of trading for Marner instead of going the offer sheet route. This could be an interesting option for Kyle Dubas as it could land him an interesting piece on defense. However the four first round picks and salary cap space might be hard to pass as well.
LeBrun on That's Hockey: "The Mitch Marner camp, as Dreger first reported today, got calls today from other teams...Certainly I think there's some teams that wanted to investigate to find out whether they should try and trade for Marner as opposed to make him an offer sheet."
