William Nylander showcased his tremendous character on Monday following the Maple Leafs' annual outdoor practice in nearby Mimico, Ontario.
On Monday, the Toronto Maple Leafs took part in their annual outdoor practice at Prince of Wales Park in Mimico, Ontario, complete with fans in attendance.
The event is always great fanfare, but the player who truly went above and beyond at the event was Swedish superstar William Nylander.
As per LeafsFanMD on X:
"[William Nylander was] the only guy to take the time and go all the way around to greet the fans."
Nylander has been exceptional both on and off the ice this season. With 28 goals, he's currently tied for third in the entire NHL, and he's accumulated 50 points in 50 games so far this season.
His goal scoring has been so consistent this season that he's likely to challange for the Rocket Richard Trophy, though Nylander was the first to admit that his priorities are not set on individual awards. He wants a Stanley Cup.
Actions like what we saw from Nylander on Monday, truly putting the fans first, are what makes him such a popular figure in Toronto.
