forward William Nylander spoke with the media following Sweden's second straight overtime loss and admitted to being frustrated with the team's play at the 4 Nations Face-Off.
Team Sweden and Nylander kicked off the 4 Nations tournament with a thrilling overtime loss to Canada in which they battled back from two, two-goal deficits.
"I mean, it's not great. We have two OT losses in two games. So, I mean, we just gotta regroup here and play the game against USA [to win]. And hopefully the scores go our way."
Nylander was then asked about losing to their biggest rival where he shot down the media's attempt to make it bigger than it is, before being very blunt with his assessment.
"I mean, you guys build up the rivalry as if it's something crazy. But I mean, it's just, we just hate losing."
Nylander, who has just a lone assist through two games, will have to have his best game of the tournament against a USA team that is already through to the finals. If Sweden wants a chance to extend their tournament, they need to beat the U.S. in regulation and have the Canada/Finland game decided in OT.
