Maple Leafs winger William Nylander will be skating on Sweden's top line at the 4 Nations Face-Off and his linemates to kick off the tournament have been revealed.
Marner was slotted in next to Connor McDavid and Sam Reinhart at Canada's first practice on Monday, which is a line that can do a little bit of everything, be it scoring, playmaking or defending.
One that flew under the radar, though was the Leafs' leading goal scorer, William Nylander.
Nylander took to the ice with his Swedish teammates on Monday, playing on a line with centre Mika Zibanejad and winger Rickard Rakell, per Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman.
It was a little surprising to see Rakell playing ahead of Filip Forsberg for Team Sweden if I'm being entirely honest, but all in all, the forward group looks pretty well-balanced.
Nylander is almost certainly going to be the play driver on his line at the 4 Nations Face-Off, and Sweden will rely on the veteran winger heavily to produce, just as he's done all season long with the Leafs.
Recently, Leafs coach Craig Berube affirmed that he believes that Nylander has what it takes to win a Rocket Richard Trophy. For Sweden's sake, Nylander had better bring his A-game in the tournament, because the USA and Canada are absolutely stacked.
