Former Toronto sports personality Sid Seixeiro has confirmed that he is no longer with Breakfast Television and Rogers/Sportsnet.

Sid Seixeiro, the former host of the popular Sportsnet show "Tim and Sid" and most recently the co-host of Breakfast Television, is once again without a job.
Seixeiro officially confirmed the news on X on Monday:
"Hey guys. Confirming my last day at @breakfasttv was this past Friday. Thanks for letting me into your homes and for being so kind. Also, thank you to @Rogers for over 13 years of support. They allowed me incredible freedom on-air and I'm grateful.

God bless. We'll talk soon."
Known for his controversial takes, Seixeiro has frequently stirred the pot, especially when it comes to the Toronto Maple Leafs. He has often criticized the team, seizing every opportunity to tear them down on a public forum.
Most recently, Seixeiro went viral for roasting the Leafs after the Edmonton Oilers made it to the Stanley Cup Final last season. He argued that the Leafs no longer had any valid excuses for not advancing that far, particularly the added pressure of being in a Canadian market.
Seixeiro also voiced his dissatisfaction with the William Nylander contract extension - an 8-year deal worth around $92 million, with an $11.5 million cap hit per season. He suggested that the deal was an overpay.
Nylander has more than proven his worth this season. Often the best player on the ice, Nylander has accumulated 55 points in 55 games, including 33 goals, which ranks him second in the league behind Leon Draisaitl. It's safe to say that Nylander's performance has justified, if not exceeded, his salary in year one of the deal.
With Seixeiro now out of a job, he may turn to radio or podcasting as a potential future endeavor if he decides to step away from television. Only time will tell, but one thing is certain -- we can expect more hot takes from Sid, especially when it comes to the Toronto Maple Leafs.
