With the 4 Nations Face-Off set to kick off on Wednesday, Team Canada's Sidney Crosby has made an exciting announcement regarding his participation in the tournament.
After Sidney Crosby suffered an injury recently for the Pittsburgh Penguins, there has been a lot of speculation over what might occur for Sid the Kid at the 4 Nations Face-Off. The "will he or won't he?" guessing game is now over.
"It was a busy week, but happy to be here, and excited to get going."
Sidney Crosby was hurt in a game against the New Jersey Devils early last week.
While he may still be hurting a bit, Crosby was one of the last players on the ice for Team Canada's practice Monday morning, highlighting an absolute beast of a first power play unit featuring him, Connor McDavid, Nathan McKinnon, Sam Reinhart, and Cale Makar.
The first game of the best-on-best tournament takes place Wednesday with Canada playing Sweden, while Team USA takes on Finland on Thursday. The championship game is slated for Thursday, Feb. 20.
