Maple Leafs winger Max Domi was not in the mood for anyone to antagonize Auston Matthews on Thursday night. New Jersey Devils defenseman Simon Nemec found that out the hard way in the second period.

Domi made quick work of Nemec in a fight that was definitively one-sided due to the inexperience of Nemec, as this was his first NHL fight of his career. Domi took no prisoners in this one, landing some heavy uppercuts and was given a two-minute instigator penalty, a 5 minute fighting major and a 10-minute misconduct in going after Nemec for delivering a stiff shove/punch to Matthews during a battle along the wall.

The fight was Domi's sixth this season, which is the most fights he's engaged in during a single season. It clearly shows his passion and pride in being a Leaf.

Not only was this Domi's sixth fight of the season, he also leads the team in penalty minutes with 116 PIMs. He's obviously a chip off the old block, joining his father Tie Domi as a single-season PIMs leader in Toronto.

There's absolutely no question at this point that Max Domi is 100% playoff ready.
