Canucks Prospect stretched off the ice after taking massive hit
In a game between the Abbotsford Canucks and Colorado Eagles, a scary scene occurred. With just over five minutes left in the game, Canucks prospect Vasili Podkolzin took a hit from Eagles' forward Keaton Middleton. Podkolzin landed hard and awkwardly on his head.
According to some that were in attendance and additional reports, Podkolzin was convulsing on the ice prior to being taken off on a stretcher. Podkolzin was awake on the stretcher and Middleton was given a major penalty and game misconduct on the play. Following additional tests at the hospital, Podkolzin took to his Instagram posting a story with the caption "All good, no worries!".
The 22-year-old was playing in his sixth game of the season and had seven points in those six games. He was drafted 10th overall in 2019 and made his debut with the Canucks in the 2021-2022 season.
