Filmores Gentlemen's Club, which is about 10-minutes away from the Scotiabank Arena by drive, 20 minutes by subway, or 30 minutes by walk, is trying to take full advantage of the publicity with a great marketing ploy. They have a massive sign out front offering free lap dances for all 2024 NHL All-Stars - with ID required.
Adam Laskaris of the Daily Hive Toronto did a little investigation and found that Filmores had offered the same treatment for the Pan Am Games and G20 leaders:
"The sign ideas and our marketing are a collaborative effort among the management and staff, often in consultation with our patrons/prospective patrons to determine what might resonate with them," Filmores wrote in an email to Daily Hive.
"We have run similar promotions in the past with other notable events in Toronto. For example, Pan Am Game medal winners, G20 Leaders."
Whether or not any of the 44 players will take them on their free offer remains to be seen. However, Filmores added that they have received a few "positive responses" from some of the players:
"We certainly hope [players will come]," Filmores added. "Without giving away too many details, we have had positive response from attendees of past events to which we have extended a similar offer. Suffice it to say, discretion is a virtue, and the Pan Am medals were very impressive."
The All-Star festivities kick off on Thursday with the All-Star Draft, followed by the Skills Competition on Friday evenung and the game itself will take place on Saturday afternoon.
