Matthew Tkachuk Fires Back at Team Canada Forward After Being Publicly Chirped

has responded to Brandon Hagel's comments on Team USA, adding fuel to the fire ahead of 4 Nations Face-Off final against Canada.
As Team Canada and Team USA prepare for an electrifying 4 Nations Face-Off final, tensions are running high between the two teams. Both sides have been taking shots at each other in the lead-up to their grudge match tonight.
Canadian forward Brandon Hagel recently suggested that Team USA isn't playing for the flag, but for the cameras, following speculation that the three fight performance that broke out within the first 10 seconds of their round-robin game, was staged by the U.S players.
In response, Team USA's notorious pest, Matthew Tkachuk, has weighed in to let the hockey world know what he thought of Hagel's comments.
According to Luke Fox's article, "Hagel-Tkachuk Fight Spills into Chirp War Before Heated 4 Nations Final", Tkachuk fired back at Hagel's comments:
"Well, I mean, maybe their team doesn't like each other if they don't have group chats",Matthew Tkachuk fired back Wednesday.
"I think that's just a player enjoying his opportunity," Tkachuk went on."Our team does not care about anything that they say, and there's been a lot of chatter and talk from individuals. But we care about one thing in this room, and we have millions of people that are watching us and supporting us around this country, and we're very prideful in playing for them and the guys in the room. It's an opportunity of a lifetime for us."

While both teams have much to gain, Canada has traditionally had the upper hand in recent international best-on-best tournaments, winning gold at the 2014 Olympics and taking home the World Cup of Hockey trophy in 2016.
However, this matchup feels different. Team USA has developed a truly impressive squad, sporting some incredible forward depth, as well as the best goalie on the planet, Winnipeg Jets' Connor Hellebuyck.
The anticipation surrounding this grudge match has intensified over the past few days, and these two rival nations are sure to deliver an incredibly hard-fought battle that will only benefit the sport.
