After failing to find some common ground with the Lightning, even after they cleared over $11M in cap space at the draft, Stamkos will join the Nashville Predators on a four-year deal.
According to TSN's Pierre LeBrun, the two sides have finalized a deal that will see Stamkos earn $8M per season. The 34-year-old hit the 40-goal mark for the seventh time last season where he registered 81 points in 79 games.
LeBrun has also reported that the Predators have finalized deals with another Stanley Cup Champion in Jonathan Marchessault for five-years at an AAV of $5.5M per season. The 33-year-old Marchessault registered 42 goals and 69 points with Vegas last season.
The Predators are also reportedly the new home for former Carolina Hurricanes defenseman Brady Skjei.
Predators GM Barry Trotz is wasting no time changing the philosophy of the Predators after taking over for long-time GM and Hockey Hall of Famer David Poile.
