In 2024-25, Woll enters the final year of his current three-year deal that will see him earn $766K. His new extension, keeping him in a Leafs sweater until the end of the 2027-2028 season, comes in at a very reasonable $3.66M cap hit.
Previous reports on Woll's projected contract indicated the deal could reach up to the $4M per season threshold, so Woll coming in at $3.66M per season on his new deal is a pleasant surprise.
Last season, the 25-year-old posted a 12-11-1 record with a 2.94 goals-against average and a .907 save percentage in 25 games. He also went 2-0 with a 0.86 goals-against average and a .964 save percentage in 3 post-season appearances against the Boston Bruins before being injured at the end of Game 6. Originally drafted by the Leafs in the third round of the 2016 NHL Draft, Woll has posted a 23-13-1 record to go along with a .915 save percentage and 2.65 GAA in his career.
