Earlier this week, there were some rumours swirling about the Leafs not being quite done in the trade market after acquiring defenseman Conor Timmins from the Arizona Coyotes. TSN's Chris Johnston had reported that the Leafs have been actively talking to teams over the last week and could yet pull off some additional moves to try to bolster their already solid lineup.

Well, I suppose this news will be some added fuel to the fire, but the Leafs/Sharks game tonight has a large quantity of scouts from other clubs present and spectating.

Per The Fourth Period's David Pagnotta, scouts from Anaheim, St. Louis, Boston, Los Angeles, Dallas, Montreal, New Jersey, Detroit, Calgary, Arizona, Chicago and Seattle have posted up at Scotiabank Arena to take in the action.

While it's possible that many of these scouts are in Toronto to watch the San Jose Sharks, who are expected to be trade deadline sellers, the Leafs are thought to still be in the market for a replacement for Jake Muzzin, as well as a top six winger.
