The first such incident occurred early in the second period when Alexander Kerfoot lost his stick in a battle for the puck. After losing his stick, Wings forward Robby Fabbri redirected it out of the Leafs zone "accidentally on purpose". As Kerfoot went to collect his stick, Fabbri collected the puck in the slot and buried it past Ilya Samsonov to put the Wings up by 2.
The second missed call last night occurred just minutes into the third period with the Leafs down 2-1. William Nylander cut towards the net, getting a shot off and Michael Bunting was doing what he does best in crashing the net looking for the rebound. The rebound was there, but unfortunately Bunting couldn't get a shot off before he was chopped across his head by Ben Chiarot's stick, knocking his helmet off. In what should have been at least a minor high stick, how the refs failed to make the call is beyond me.
The final missed call happened with the Leafs down 3-1 and the Wings on the power play. Moritz Seider and Kerfoot went into the corner in the Wings' zone where Kerfoot lost his edge. While down on the ice, Seider landed a couple heavy crosschecks before going down the ice and scoring.
For everyone that says the officials favour the Leafs, there seems to be a lot of missed or non-calls in favour of their opponents of late.
