David Pastrnak has 278 goals and 575 points in 560 games in his career so far. With 38 on the season through just 50 games he is 10 shy of his career high which he set a few years ago and should surpass. Pastrnak and the Bruins are in Toronto tonight in their final game before the All-Star break hoping to snap their season-long 3 game losing streak.

Following the morning skate, Pastrnak admitted he trained with William Nylander and Rasmus Sandin over the summer and noticed just how good Sandin was. Not only that, but he was impressed by how hard Sandin shot the puck and offered some encouraging words to the young, Swede. Pastrnak said he told Sandin that he should have a goal of trying to get four shots per game.

As Wayne Gretzky and later Michael Scott once said, "you miss 100% of the shots you don't take," and so far, Sandin has listened to Pastrnak's advice. Last season in 51 games, Sandin had a total of 46 shots hit the net, This season, Sandin has had 45 shots make it through to the net in just 46 games. While he isn't getting 4 shots through to the net per game, he does appear to be attempting more shots per game this season.
