The Maple Leafs have been going through it when it comes to injuries this season. Injuries to both goalies and nearly the entire D core have plagued the team right from the start of the season. Jake Muzzin appears to be, for all intents and purposes, done. Timothy Liljegren, T.J. Brodie and Jordie Benn have all been injured and come back. Rasmus Sandin and Morgan Rielly are both currently out of the lineup with injuries as well. The Leafs didn't play or practice on Monday, but they may to have lost another defender anyway.

During Monday's game between the Toronto Marlies and the Belleville Senators, Sens forward Ridly Greig cut across the middle of the Marlies zone to get a shot off. He then continued forward and made contact with Marlies defenseman Mac Hollowell's head. Hollowell immediately went down in obvious pain. He left the game, but returned shortly afterwards.

Depending on what exactly happened to Hollowell, it's possible he could miss some time. Given that the contact was to his head, it's entirely possible that symptoms could arise later on. We hope to see him remain healthy, as the Leafs have shown on a number of occasions that he is their first in line to be called up should the team require the services of another blueliner.
