BREAKING: According to a source in Toronto, a major shake-up may be coming behind the bench
According to a source close to the situation, there appears to be a major change coming to the Leafs' coaching staff. It has already been reported that they are likely to lose their assistant coach, Spencer Carbery, to a vacant head coaching position as he is a candidate for both Washington and Anaheim. However, that is nothing compared to what our source has revealed.
According to our source, whose identity must remain protected, Sheldon Keefe may officially be out for the Leafs, pending an announcement, which is likely to come within the next 24-48 hours. That is, of course, if the information we were given was correct and has not been misinterpreted.
Naturally, we realize that there is going to be a lot of skepticism here, but we can assure you that the information is from a trustworthy source and that, while there is room for some interpretation, all the evidence does, in fact, point to Keefe being relieved of his duties as head coach in Toronto.
More to come as updates become available.
