The Tampa Bay Lightning cut the Colorado Avalanche's lead to 1 in the series with a 6-2 victory on Monday night, and now trail just 2-1 in the series with Game 4 set for Wednesday night in Tampa. The only problem is, nobody knows whether or not Tampa will have Nikita Kucherov available for the game.

During the late stages of Monday's game, Avs defender Devon Toews delivered an awkward downward cross check to an off-balance Kucherov, which forced the superstar winger out of the game. He did not return.

Following the game, Bolts head coach Jon Cooper addressed the Toews cross check, insinuating that the Avs defender purposely took Kucherov out.

"When you get asked questions like that, you're looking for an answer that everybody in the building already knows. It's a contact game, but guys know what they're doing. Smart, savvy players know what they're doing with their stick, and we all saw it."
