With Seattle leading and just over 5 minutes left to play in the third, a scrum ensued in the Bruins zone. While many of the players were entangled with each other behind the Bruins net, Brand Marchand and Oliver Bjorkstrand engaged at the hashmarks exchanging a pair of cross-checks and likely some kind words.

Apparently Marchand didn't like something Bjorkstrand said or did because after they put each other in awkward headlocks, Marchand lifts his right skate, puts it behind both of Bkorkstrand's legs and uses it as leverage to throw Bjorkstrand to the ice. Everyone on the ice notices and the scrum from behind the net immediately moves to the hash marks with Seattle players making a beeline for Marchand.

This is not the first time this week Marchand has been in the news as he has been all over social media making comments about potential All-Star Game hosts and Leaf fans. Marchand and Bjorkstrand were both assessed cross-checking penalties on the play, but Marchand could face supplemental discipline from the NHL's Player Safety department for the incident as well as the league has been making it a point to discourage slew-footing this season.
