Brad Marchand delivers retaliatory two-handed slash to Hurricanes goalie; Suspension incoming?
What is it with Brad Marchand and goalies? The veteran forward may find himself in some hot water with Player Safety once again after taking a two-handed whack at Carolina Hurricanes goaltender Pyotr Kochetkov during Game 2 of the Canes/Bruins series on Wednesday.
Kochetkov certainly initiates the exchange, but Marchand's retaliatory slash is certainly worse than the one on Tristan Jarry that earned him a suspension this season. With Player Safety's inconsistency, who knows whether or not the league will take a look, but since it's Marchand, and there's a history there, they just might.
Both Kochetkov and Marchand received slashing penalties on the play.
