Brad Marchand gives new teammate a couple of hilarious tips about playing with Bruins captain Patrice Bergeron
You absolutely hate him unless you're a Bruins fan, but Brad Marchand has become one of the better social media follows because of his care-free personality. Something we will likely see a lot of the first half of the season as Marchand is reportedly out until November/December as he recovers from off-season surgery.
Speaking with the media today, Marchand was asked about the addition of Pavel Zacha and if he had any advice for his new teammate. Knowing that Zacha is skating alongside Patrice Bergeron (and likely himself when he returns to the lineup), Marchand provided some hilarious advice for Zacha saying, "just get open, get open and you don't have to backcheck."
Marchand, of course, is referring to Bergeron's record five Selke Trophies as the NHL's best defensive forward. At 37, and while his point totals have slipped, Bergeron is still a premiere defensive forward in the game and an absolutely insane playmaker.
