It would appear as though Brady Tkachuk has been spending too much time with Ottawa Senators forward Tim Stutzle, as Tkachuk was caught on video with one of the worst dives of the season. What's worse is that the officials fell for it and called Justin Holl for tripping on this play, if you can believe it:

It's a little surprising to see this from Tkachuk to be honest. He's built a bit of a reputation as a warrior around the league. There's no way that this tiny, insignificant toe tap should have drawn that sort of a reaction out of Tkachuk. It's a little embarrassing to be completely honest.

All things considered, yes, Holl was caught flat-footed and reaching on that play. Yes, there was some contact with the skate of Tkachuk, although very minimal. But if the officials were hellbent on getting a call on Holl there, they should have at least called them both - Holl for the trip and Tkachuk for embellishment. Then again, these are NHL officials we're talking about here.. they're not exactly concerned with calling things right down the middle.
