Columbus Blue Jackets' rookie Adam Fantilli has been lighting it up in recent weeks in both the rookie tournament and now in the preseason. As is often the case, Fantilli being a top prospect with a lot of cache, he is still susceptible to "welcome to the NHL" moments - which is exactly what occurred in the second period of their tilt against the Washington Capitals.

After over-skating the puck in the neutral zone, Fantilli made the mistake of retrieving the puck with his head down. Veteran winger T.J. Oshie noticed it, changed his approach and lined up Fantilli before laying a huge, clean hit. It's safe to assume he won't be making that mistake again any time soon.

Thankfully, Fantilli was okay and remains primed for a big rookie season where he will be battling for the Calder Trophy with the likes of Connor Bedard, Logan Cooley, and maybe even Matthew Knies.
