Bedard didn't have to wait long to get another crack at it, as his Blackhawks were right back at it on Wednesday against the Boston Bruins, and just over 5 and a half minutes into the first period, Bedard converted on a beautiful wraparound to tally the first goal of what should be MANY in his very promising NHL career.
In the clip, you can see Bedard purposely shoot the puck high on Linus Ullmark from a bad angle in an attempt to create a rebound. That's exactly what happened, as the puck rolled back to Bedard behind the net, and before Ullmark realized where the puck was, it was too late to get set and Bedard had already swept around the net and tucked the puck into the bottom corner on Ullmark's far side.
He may not have scored 4 in his first game like our own Auston Matthews, but he's every bit as special and is likely going to have a very successful rookie campaign in Chicago.
