There are plenty of reasons to love a good pest. For starters, there's never a dull moment or an uneventful game when you've got a good agitator around - and Florida's Matthew Tkachuk is one of the best. However, there is a distinct difference between pest behaviour and weasel behaviour. Last night, Tkachuk crossed that line.

During a first period post-whistle exchange with Toronto's Justin Holl, Tkachuk bumped into Holl to get in his face in hopes of sparking something. Holl gave Tkachuk a bit of a nudge, pushing his shoulder, right on the padding. However, Tkachuk snapped his head back in an attempt to sell a butt-end to the face to try to draw a penalty.

As Leaf fans, we're well aware of what a good sell-job can cost a team, after the Tampa Bay Lightning got away with a couple of them in succession during last year's playoff series against the Buds. Personally, I think it's dishonest and embarrassing for the game. Tkachuk is lucky the officials didn't penalize him for embellishment. As a matter of fact, these types of plays should be reviewed by the league and fines should be assessed if for no other reason than to keep the integrity of the game intact.
