With the regular season underway, the Leafs have not had the best start. They have a 2-2 record, with losses against the Canadiens and Coyotes (32nd and 31st overall teams from last season). While there is still plenty of time for the Buds to find their stride and get back on track, it appears that Leafs brass may have already seen enough to start making changes to the management group.

The Governor & Senior Vice President of the Toronto Marlies, Laurence Gilman, is absent from the Leafs management page. Obviously, this is a significant position within the organization and the fact that Laurence is no longer on the list suggests that the Leafs are looking for new face for this role. It wouldn't surprise anyone to see this position filled in house, as Dubas has been known to promote from within the organization.

Other front-office changes include adding Gael Jaren Burke to the Leafs Management Development Program, Duanté Abercrombie to the Coaching Development program and Jacob Burton as a video analyst.

It will be interesting to see when and how Gilman's position is filled, and if they plan on announcing any other front-office changes in the coming days.
