Eminem, Dr. Dre thumb their noses at the NFL during halftime show
Super Bowl LVI was quite the spectacle and we here at LetsGoLeafs would like to say congratulations to the LA Rams on a great season and a stellar playoffs. The championship game was close and there were plenty of great stories to come out of the event.
We saw Aaron Donald finally win a Super Bowl, Odell Beckham Jr. break down in tears and Matthew Stafford and Cooper Kupp take over the game late to earn the big come from behind victory.
These fun storylines aside, there was another wild event that took place - that being the spectacular half-time show, which featured Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, 50 Cent and Kendrick Lamar.
There were several things that the collective were asked specifically not to do, most notably Eminem was asked not to kneel to pay tribute to former NFL QB Colin Kaepernick and Dr. Dre was asked not to use the line "still not lovin' police". Well, both events happened anyway, among others.
That said, the iconic artists didn't completely thumb their noses at the NFL, as they did not cuss during the live family event, so there's that!
Now with the Super Bowl festivities out of the way, we can turn our attention to the second half of the NHL season and some of the more exciting upcoming events, including the trade deadline, the Stanley Cup Playoffs, the draft and free agency!
