Evander Kane and Brady Tkachuk drop the gloves for spirited tilt
Just over the midway point of the second period in this afternoon's game between the Oilers and Senators, Brady Tkachuk and Evander Kane dropped the gloves in a very spirited tilt.
Tkachuk and Kane have had some bad blood for a while and it seemed to spill over to the boiling point with both players throwing haymakers at center ice. Kane was the aggressor early, but after Tkachuk slipped and got back up, the rolls reversed as Tkachuk began raining punches down on Kane, even landing a couple when Kane was on the ice.
The fight seemed to spark both teams as they traded goals in the second half of the period and entered the second intermission tied at 3.
