Exciting announcement regarding prospect Nick Robertson

He should have made the roster out of training camp after notching 8 points in 5 pre-season games. Unfortunately, due to cap restrictions, Nick Robertson was sent down to the Marlies to start the season. Denis Malgin was afforded the opportunity on the Leafs' second line and did almost nothing with it.

Thanks to the injury to Matt Murray, the Leafs have found themselves in a financial position to be able to recall 3 players and carry a full, 23-man roster. Of course, Robertson was the first call-up along with Victor Mete and Wayne Simmonds. Today, Nick Robertson skated alongside WIlliam Nylander and John Tavares at practice while Malgin skated as an extra.

It appears as though Robertson will make his debut Thursday against Dallas and will hopefully provide a bit of a spark to a Leafs' top six that has been snake-bitten to start the year. Robertson is also skating with the team's second power play unit as well.
