Have you ever heard that phrase; ''It's not the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog''? Well, as it turns out, Minnesota Wild forward Marco Rossi, who stands just 5'9" absolutely flattened 2022 1st overall pick Juraj Slafkovsky along the boards during last night's Wild/Habs game. Slafkovsky stands 6'3" and 238 lbs.

After finishing his check, Rossi skated over to the Wild bench for a change, but couldn't complete it, as several Habs came over in pursuit of the rookie forward. Thankfully for Rossi, Montreal's Jake Evans didn't get to him, as Wild forward Mason Shaw intercepted Evans, leading to a tussle near the benches.

Nasty hit by Rossi here, but there has to be some concern for Slafkovsky, who is showing early and often that he is not yet ready for the NHL. He has been the target of several hard hits early on this year. He has a thing or two to learn yet about protecting himself on the ice and learning how to take hits without being sent ass-over-tea-kettle into the boards.
