It's been a rollercoaster of an offseason for Calgary Flames GM Brad Treliving. He has overcome some serious adversity this summer and has come out of it arguably stronger on the other side after losing Johnny Gaudreau and Matthew Tkachuk and replacing them with Jonathan Huberdeau, MacKenzie Weegar and Nazem Kadri. That effort has not been lost on the players. In fact, the team's goaltender, Jacob Markstrom believes that the Flames have a real shot to exceed last year's success.

During an interview with NHL.com at the NHL's European Player Media Tour last month, Markstrom had this to say about the new and improved team:

"I think it's a better team than we had before. It's an unbelievable job by the front office and everybody working on that. It makes us players really excited to come back and get into it"

The Flames have an excellent chance to win the Pacific Division again this season and, with their new additions in tow, they'll be aiming to do some damage in the postseason.
