Former Canucks coach makes surprising comment about the Leafs ahead of tonight's game in Vancouver
Prior to joining the TSN Tradecenter panel on Friday, former Canucks Head Coach Bruce Boudreau was on TSN's OverDrive on Thursday evening, discussing all things hockey. Boudreau, who was fired by the Canucks a couple of months ago as a scapegoat for the team's poor performance is a known Leafs fan and while on OverDrive, Boudreau was asked if he still cheers for the Leafs while coaching.
"Once i'm not working for somebody, I'm a Leafs fan when I'm a Canuck, 'oh yeah, go Canucks' but I'm not with the Canucks now so Leafs play them Saturday, I guess I know who I'm cheering for," said Bourdreau of the Leafs battling his former team tonight.
A subtle parting shot from Boudreau to the Canucks after they made a very unnecessary public mess of his dismissal. Boudreau wants to be behind a bench again some day, but for now he is enjoying collecting a pay check from Vancouver while cheering on the Leafs.
