Former Leaf goes off on the team for allowing a horrendous 3rd period scoring opportunity for Philadelphia

The Toronto Maple Leafs took down the Philadelphia Flyers by a score of 5-2 and for the most part it was a game dominated by the Maple Leafs but as the Flyers have done all year, they managed to keep the game close and on the opening shift of the third period, the Flyers almost capitalized on a very costly faceoff blunder, leading to an opportunity that would've tied the game up.

With the score 2-1 for Toronto to open the final frame and with the Flyers on a power play, the Leafs won the draw but as Lukas Sedlak tied one of the Leafs up, Ivan Provorov and Tony DeAngelo jumped on an abbreviated odd man rush with the latter being robbed by Ilya Samsonov. That would've tied the game up only 7 seconds into the period and who knows what would've happened after that?

Provorov went around T.J. Brodie and centered a pass to the streaking DeAngelo who was stopped by the out-stretched pad of Samsonov. The Leafs killed the penalty, scored shortly afterwards and then ended up taking the game 5-2.

Former Leaf - and Flyer - Carlo Colaiacovo was rather steamed about this play as he believes it could've changed the entire trajectory of the game had the Flyers actually scored. He has a point.

Do you agree with the point Colaiacovo is trying to make about this Leafs team allowing too many easily preventable scoring chances?
