Former Leaf goes on a rant, blasting the team for embarrassing effort in Vegas
The Leafs were completely outclassed, outgunned and outworked on Monday by a Vegas team who, only months ago, didn't qualify for the playoffs 2022 Stanley Cup Playoffs. This marks the third time since the start of the season where the Leafs dropped points to a team they should have not only beaten - it's a team that they probably should have blown out.
The loss was so embarrassing that a former Leaf, Jay Rosehill, blasted the Leafs during a podcast on Tuesday, not only accusing them of letting off the gas, but also of partying instead of mentally preparing themselves for a game.

I know what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, but when teams like Detroit, Buffalo and Ottawa IN YOUR OWN DIVISION are ahead of you, that should be enough motivation to come out flying.
This team has a bit of a history of taking nights off, which is not only alarming, but completely unacceptable from a team who considers itself a contender. When the other team is working harder than you, it's on you to increase the effort and increase the level of intensity. The Leafs just didn't have anything to answer with against the Golden Knights and now, because of that, they sit 6th in their own division with all 7 of their division rivals holding games in hand. It's time for this team to wake up.
