After a convincing 3-0 win in the first half of the Leafs' home and home against the Blue Jackets on Friday, the team fell to pieces at home on Hockey Night in Canada last night. They blew a 2-goal lead and hung rookie goaltender Joseph Woll out to dry. Woll played well, stopping 36 of 40 shots in the loss, but he can't be happy with the effort the team gave in front of him.

After the game, Woll's season debut was compared to that of Kasimir Kaskisuo. Kaskisuo's one and only start for the Leafs came on the night the Leafs led a mutiny against Mike Babcock. Fed up with their coach, the team came as close to throwing a game as I've ever seen. Babcock coached one more game with the Leafs before being replaced by Sheldon Keefe. Kaskisuo was returned to the Marlies after just one game, making it the only start of his NHL career. After seeing Woll's home debut compared to his first game, Kaskisuo, now with Leksands IF in the SHL, decided to weigh in on the situation.

While the original tweet may have been hyperbolic, Kaskisuo's reply was both honest and hilarious. It's good to see that after arguably being mistreated by the Leafs organization he can still have a sense of humour about it. As for Woll, the Leafs owe him a nice dinner and a much better effort next time around.
