During the second intermission of the Blue Jackets and Leaf game last night though, Jeff Marek almost shattered Leaf fans' dreams by confirming that the Leafs were not in fact one of the teams that increased their efforts for Chychrun.
Now, this could all be smoke and mirrors from the Leafs, who are playing it off as they are not involved, but it could also mean that Kyle Dubas hung up the phone when Arizona asked for Matthew Knies. Either way, with Chychrun being held out of the Yotes' lineup on Saturday as a precautionary measure as trade talks heat up, a trade could happen sooner than later. I think we're all looking forward to closing the book there and moving on to something else after the last couple of seasons worth of Chychrun chatter.
