William Nylander is known for his silky smooth hands, excellent skating, and high-end finishing ability, but not so much for his nasty side. However, on Saturday night, Nylander did let his emotions get the best of him, delivering what looked like an elbow or butt-end of the stick to the head of Blue Jackets defenseman Nick Blankenburg.

Thankfully, the officials elected to review the play, which revealed that Nylander hadn't done enough to earn the 5-minute major that he was assessed and instead, dropped his penalty down to a 2-minute minor for roughing.

Michael Bunting and Erik Gudbranson also got into a heated discussion from their respective benches after the play as well. Whether or not it was directly related to the Nylander penalty is really anyone's guess. We do know that Bunting loves to chirp.

Blankenburg was not injured on the play, which probably helped Nylander's case as well. He is also nominated for an Oscar for his breathtaking performance, as he dove to the ice, clutching his face like he had just had his orbital bone shattered.
