According to Sportnet's Eric Engels, the Habs have informed Kaiden Guhle, Arber Xhekaj, Jordan Harris and the aforementioned Slafkovsky have all been informed that they have made the Canadiens' roster to start the 2022-23 season.
Engels also mentioned that the quartet of youngsters were all informed that just because they have made the team, it doesn't mean that staying with the Habs will be easy and that their opportunities may be taken away at any moment. Ultimately, what the Habs are trying to communicate here is that they expect their youngsters to work hard to keep their spots, otherwise there were plenty of players waiting in line to take their spots.
Earlier this preseason, Seattle Kraken GM Ron Francis revealed that it was very likely that Shane Wright would play the entire year with the Kraken. I suppose with Slafkovsky having made the Habs out of training camp, it gives fans a little less pause as to whether or not the team made a mistake taking Slafkovsky over Wright with the 1st pick in this year's draft.
