Hot mic catches more than it should from an angry Leaf

Through 2 periods of play on Thursday night the Carolina Hurricanes had played a sparkling clean game. Not a hook, hold, not even a dirty look out on the ice. The visitors' penalty box attendant was struggling to stay awake with no work to do opening the door. The Leafs however, were clearly playing their signature, hard hitting, borderline dangerous style and had been sent to the box twice for it.

In other words, the officials were at it again. After Martin Necas wrapped William Nylander up in a bear hug that lasted from centre ice well into the Canes' zone, someone on the Leafs bench finally snapped. A hot mic picked up something to the tune of «lets F****** call it F****** even» from the Leafs bench.

Here is the apparently completely legal bear hug from Necas on Nylander as well.

How Sheldon Keefe and company don't call this out in their post game press conferences is beyond me. Some of these plays are completely egregious and have been frustrating to watch. I can only imagine how the coaching staff and players feel.
