Kadri is still currently listed as day-to-day according to Bednar, but with Game 3 taking place on Monday and Game 4 taking place on Wednesday, Kadri will have options.
Kadri was originally injured in Game 3 against the Edmonton Oilers in the Western Conference Finals after Evander Kane cross-checked him from behind into the end boards, causing a thumb injury. Kadri underwent surgery less than 48 hours after suffering the injury and has been rehabbing ever since.
The 31-year-old had an incredible year with the Avs, recording a career high 59 assists and 87 points in 71 games this season. The pending UFA is due a massive raise this summer, coming off of a 6-year deal that paid him just $4.5M per season.
One thing to note, there is a possibility that Kadri's recovery will take awhile longer and perhaps he simply wants to be on the road to celebrate with his teammates in case they pull off an unlikely sweep against the defending champs.
