Just a year after requesting a trade out of Toronto, it appears as though winger Ilya Mikheyev has the passion once again!

Mikheyev has found another level to his game this season, posting career highs in goals and points for the Buds and earning himself a lot of praise from the Leafs management group, coaching staff and fan base in the process.

On Saturday night in Florida, Mikheyev even got into his first career NHL fight with Panthers forward Sam Bennett, who is no slouch.

Obviously the tilt didn't last long, as Mikheyev and Bennett took a tumble to the ice very early on the altercation, but each appear to have landed at least a punch, though Bennett's did not connect until they were already on the ice.

Unfortunately, however, Mikheyev will not be credited with his first career NHL fight, as the penalties to he and Bennett were recorded as 4-minute double minors for roughing.
