Insider links the Leafs to feisty Anaheim Ducks defender
The Toronto Maple Leafs are certainly looking like they're going to approach the 2022 trade deadline as buyers and there has been a ton of speculation surrounding what the Buds plan to do in order to upgrade their blue line.
Per Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman on the 32 Thoughts segment of Hockey Night in Canada, the Toronto Maple Leafs have expressed an interest in Anaheim Ducks defender Josh Manson.
The one issue here is that Manson had suffered an injury in the Ducks' Saturday afternoon matchup against the Ottawa Senators after taking a hit from Brady Tkachuk.
Assuming that his injury isn't of the season-ending variety, Manson owns a 12-team no-trade list, so he does have an element of control over his fate.
It is worth noting that Manson's father, Dave Manson, played for the Leafs towards the end of his career.
