In January 2021 Robertson injured his knee and was out for a month and later that year, at the start of the 2021/22 season, Robertson fractured his leg and was out from October to February.
This past season, in what was supposed to be his first full season with the Leafs, Robertson was hit a few feet from the boards by LA's Matt Roy and injured his shoulder. Initially, the Leafs were hoping that rehab would help, but that was not the case after 6 weeks of rehab. Ultimately, he underwent season-ending shoulder surgery. He is expected to be ready for training camp, however, it may not be Leafs' training camp.
On today's episode of 32 Thoughts, Elliotte Friedman revealed that Robertson may be looking for a fresh start and listed the Philadelphia Flyers as a potential destination.
Could we see the Leafs deal one of their top prospects to give him a fresh start this summer? If such a move does occur, I'd image that it happens at the draft so the Leafs can obtain another draft pick as they currently only have 3 for this draft (1st, 5th and 6th round picks).
