Jake McCabe absolutely flattens Bolts forward with massive open ice hit
Playoff hockey is here and suffice it to say, this is the best time of the year! The hits are bigger, the fights are better and the atmosphere is electric.
On the subject of huge hits, Leafs blueliner Jake McCabe landed was was probably the hardest hit in the first two days of the playoffs on Tuesday night on Tampa's Mikey Eyssimont.
The play occurred in the second period as Eyssimont was attempting to gain the the offensive zone. McCabe read the play and stood him up at the line.
Eyssimont did make his way to the bench under his own strength, but was pulled by concussion spotters shortly thereafter. McCabe was not assessed a penalty on the play.
