Pierre LeBrun is reporting that the Colorado Avalanche have re-signed Josh Manson to a four year contract, which carries a cap hit of $4.5 million AAV. This is big for the Avs who will look to go back-to- back this season as the defending Stanley cup champions.
Manson spent most of last season with the Anaheim Ducks before being traded in mid March to the Avalanche. In total he posted 10 assists and 6 goals for 16 points in 67 games.
Manson will definitely look to continue his small but impressive stint with the Avs. He will likely slot in the top-four with young defender Bowen Byram, and see time on the second power play unit.
