Following the huge Game 4 win, which forced a Game 5 back in Toronto on Friday evening, Sheldon Keefe was complimentary of his team's complete effort at both ends of the ice, stating that he felt it was the Leafs' best effort of the season. He praised the team's competitiveness and urgency on the defensive side of the puck and also raved about the play of rookie goalie Joseph Woll. Here's what he had to say about forcing Game 5:
Keefe also alluded to the fact that there was such a thin margin for errors and enjoyed that fact that his players supported one another and played as a team, which was the real key to victory. He did name drop Nylander and Marner for scoring the goals, but also pointed to the fact that it doesn't matter much to him who puts the puck across the line as long as they're playing as a team and supporting one another. After all, it's not the name on the back of the jersey that matters as much as the crest that's on the front.
