Last night, while the Leafs were getting spanked by the Seattle Kraken at home in Toronto, the team's GM, Kyle Dubas, and Director of Player Personnel, Dave Morrison, were in attendance to watch Flyers & Coyotes in Philadelphia. Both the Coyotes and Flyers are near the bottom of the league in the standings and have multiple players on expiring contracts. Not only that, but the Leafs have been linked to multiple players on each team in the past.

Former Leaf James Van Riemsdyk, along with Justin Braun, Shayne Gostisbehere and Nick Bjugstad are just a few of the pending UFAs available between the Flyers and Coyotes. Additionally, there are a few players with term, (Kyle Dubas' preference) available, such as Travis Konecny and Jakob Chychrun.

With Kyle Dubas knowing this could be his last shot, he will be looking at all his options in the hopes that whoever he brings in will help the Leafs finally get over the first round hump and hopefully go on a lengthy run that culminates in the team's first Stanley Cup Championship since 1967.
